Position: MEAT CUTTER Salary: $22.65 to $30.25 per hour Four Rivers Co-op is hiring a FULL-TIME PERMANENT MEAT CUTTER at our Food Store in Vanderhoof, BC. Our meat department is growing, with over $3.5 million in sales last year, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced candidate to contribute to further growth and continued customer satisfaction. The pay scale for this position is $22.65 to $30.25 per hour. Starting pay of applicants will be based off knowledge, skills and experience. What you’ll do: Reporting to the Meat Manager you will be responsible for: * Demonstrating Four Rivers Co-operative’s values of Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence * Working co-operatively with team members who deliver excellent service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” * Cutting, slicing, preparing, and wrapping meat * Stocking shelves, rotating, and facing products, building displays * Ensuring that high standards are maintained * Maintaining sanitation standards by following Food Safe protocol * Keeping sales floor organized and cleanWho you are: * 1-3 years of meat cutting experience is considered an asset * Certificate in Meat Cutting preferred * Be a team member with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands * A commitment to quality and an eye for detail * Food safe certified is considered an asset * Good mathematical skills * Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required * Experience in retail in a similar position * You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. * You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.At Co-op, we embrace diversity and inclusion, and we’re working to create a workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve.
