We are giving you the opportunity to recieve a $1,000.00 bonus for successfully completing the Automotive Glass Technician program and becoming a Certified Auto Glass Technician. We are also offering a $4,000.00 bonus for employees who succesfully complete the Glazing Program and becoming a Certified Journeyperson Glazier. An Automotive Glass Technician removes, installs, repairs and generally services all types of stationary and movable glass in motor vehicles, heavy equipment, boats and RV’s. The Apprenticeship Program comprises of 90 hours of full-time technical training. In addition, apprentices are required to accumulate 3,510 hours of workbased training. Program duration varies depending on how training is delivered, but generally takes 2 years to complete. What is a Glazier? A Glazier is a Red Seal Trade that is nationally recognized. A Journeyman Glazier selects, cuts, installs, replaces, and removes automotive, residential, and commercial glass. Glaziers also install aluminum storefront frames and entrances, glass handrails and shower enclosures, curtain wall framing and glass, and mirror walls. An apprentice glazier can work on both commercial and residential job sites. It takes approximately four years for an apprentice to complete the on-the-job training and schooling. The glazing program duration is approximentaly 700 hours of technical training and 6,400 hours of work based training. After fulfilling qualifications, an apprentice becomes a Journeyman Glazier and is qualified for work on commercial and industrial glazing jobs. Qualifications/Requirements: The following education is recommended: Grade 10 or equivalent (Grade 12 preferred), including English 10, Math 10, Science 10. * Must be in good health and physically able to perform all phases of the work. * Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to comprehend instructions on the job and in related training classes, and to ensure personal and co-worker safety on the job. * Must possess a valid drivers license. * Wages is based on experience ($18.00 - $25.00)Apply at: https://www.all-westglass.com/careers Company: All West Glass Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Contract: PERMANENT
