Staff Accountant Edmison Mehr is a mid-sized accounting firm in Smithers, BC. We provide a wide range of opportunities for developing your skills and working towards a CPA designation, if desired. Prior accounting experience is preferable, however we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties Prepare corporate and personal tax returns; Prepare notice to reader and review engagements and perform audit field work; Prepare monthly payroll, GST and PST returns; Participate in internal and external training; Interact with clients; add valuable input to partners and managers. Skills and competencies required Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to critically think through complex problems; Detail oriented and organized; Possess understanding of current accounting and business applications.
